There's something in what you say but it was made equally, horribly complicated for someone in my position (I transitioned at 15 and had GCS at 21- as early as such things were 'allowed' back then) and still this nonsense persisted. As a kid I was made to feel that I was committing some sort of crime by needing to do what I did. Thankfully, people in the UK now have joined up documentation and there is the advantage in my own case of having been round long enough pre web not to have created much of a paper trail which doesn't state that I'm me.

What amused me about Richard Floyd's crass statements was the thought that his wife would actually be aware, then tell him so he could storm into said female only facilities to do the stomping. Something here simply does not compute.

I continue to wonder if the use of the umbrella term 'transgender' creates more problems that it prevents, but that's another story......... :o)
