Chimera, perhaps? Manticore? Basilisk?

Ah yes, I forgot about the colours. Both Nelson (to which I belonged) and Roke were red, so I wasn't traumatised by having to change chromatic allegiance at the age of 11.

I love the idea of the Standing Salt! I'm picturing it as a representation of Lot's wife.
