i agree with jade. i think at the gut level, they feel that it parallelizes (?) the two groups: if the two groups are "trans women" and "cis women," that sounds awfully parallel, which implies that trans women are women, just as much as cis women are women. which is what they can't bear. it's also why they can fuck right off.
