I'm sorry to hear of your uncle's death. But what a charming set of photographs! (I find the 1956 one particularly captivating, in the sense of wanting to meet that person). I'm reminded for some reason of my one of my father's paternal uncles, who though not an eccentric by any objective standard, fulfilled something of that role in the family, who were and are very much of the go-you-own-way sort too.
