My... well, "objection" is far too strong a word, perhaps "niggle" regarding the use of "cis" (that probably indicates about the right degree of discomfort), is that, according to the definitions I've seen, I'm not cis. So I'm definitely in the "it's not a simple binary" camp and I feel that trying to apply blanket labels like "cis" to people who don't identify themselves in that way is not particularly productive. However, I'm not going to make a big thing of it unless, as [livejournal.com profile] fjm says, it's used by someone who knows me well and it trying to use it to define me personally rather than just a way of lumping me in with a majority group.
