This picture is on the wall of my local cafe at the moment. I don't know its official title, but I like to think of it as a symbol of the complex lineage of British children's fantasy.

Yes. If they were more widely available I'm sure we'd see more owls splashing through puddles - and wouldn't that be a better world?
