This is just to say that, wagging my tail behind me, I've finally caught up with the cool kids and now have a Dreamwidth account, where I go by the name of... Steepholm. I wish! Mine came via jadelennox. But I gather the whole thing goes live a week today anyway, and that you can register your interest now by logging in there using openid.
