I was thoroughly annoyed by the Today piece, especially that drip of a woman whose only argument seemed to be "Mothers nurture; nobody else can. Thus working mothers are Evol." And the absence of fathers in the equation was annoying; even more so because it was just not remarked upon.
My daughters are happy, confident young adults. Both their parents had full-time work when they were small and both their parents were and are actively involved in their lives. Anecdotal evidence sucks, I know, but it worked for us.
