There was no example of somebody living an ordinary life, decades later. Obviously that wouldn't have made brilliant television, at least in this genre, but it was hard to avoid the impression that trans lives are always lives in various states of crisis.
The only example I can think of that approaches this is the TV series 'Hotel Stephanie'. She does have to cope with a series of crises, but they're all about running the hotel and not about being trans. :)
