I know my flist intersects to a large extent with [livejournal.com profile] lady_schrapnell's, but not entirely - and even if you followed her pointing finger in the direction of [livejournal.com profile] beccadelarosa's LJ yesterday you may not have gone the extra mile to [livejournal.com profile] beccadelarosa's website, and the online stories there. If you appreciate Darke Phantasy (no, that's too goth, let's say New Weird? Magical Surrealism? Oh gosh, I'm not sure what to call it - decide for yourself!) then you really ought to dip into her growing oeuvre...

Well, I never knew that until a minute ago - and if it's wrong, please don't tell me! But apparently the Anglo-Saxons call February Sol-monath, i.e. "cake month", because in that month cakes were offered to the gods. This puts the Germanicness of the A-Ss in quite a new light for me, and makes them seem somehow, I don't know, more Bavarian.

I wonder what's on the menu for March? How I'd like to think that Woden shared my fondness for profiteroles...
