It's a weird thing about the cantref gwaelod. My brother and sister-in-law's house in Borth backs onto the beach, just where the forest once grew, and it's been periodically visible there for many years. I took these pics in 2005:
I think what must have happened recently though is that the storms exposed more of it than usual. I'd certainly like to go back!
