RH gave me some very useful (and typically generous) feedback when I was writing Four British Fantasists, about 12 years ago, and we became friends from that.
I got to know SC from having written her fan letters about 35 years ago - though we really became friends properly in the late '90s. (Here we are in Machynlleth last year.)
