Which thinking angers you specifically? I've described many kinds in the post! Or is it the trolley-problem set up itself?
In any case, I think we can take it that this program would kick in only when the automatic car found itself in a situation in which (for some reason) death was inevitable, and it was only able to influence whose. It's not a blank cheque to go round killing pedestrians!
