The spring is a little late in Tokyo this year, which means that I was able to enjoy the last of the sakura on the Meguro river last night - although it was too dark for pictures, so you'll have to take my word for it.

The local Inari shrine is down an alley, but I'm glad it's there
Same. I like shrines being casually part of the landscape. All Saints Way in Boston's North End is a Catholic shrine in a small gated alley, full of candles and statues and tiles and holy cards, and I don't see it every time I'm in the North End because I don't always walk down its street, but I'm always happy to see it when I do.
(What do you mean, shellfish don't have gizzards? Then what do you call these?)
