gnomicutterance, who has pointed out the existence of Book Spine Poetry. It's a really cool idea - and one that's not hard to do, in fact. I created this austerely beautiful verse in just a couple of minutes, drawing on the shelves beside my bed:
The lonely voice
Negotiating with the dead
Little Women
Dancing at the edge of the world
Next stop, a Spenserian sonnet!
