This morning Google Alerts brings news of a review of Four British Fantasists in somebody's blog. It's positive, except for the part where the author writes that I "[stumble] a bit in the discussion of Garner and appropriation in Strandloper (I fumed about this for a while)." Now I long to know whether she thinks I was too soft on Garner, or too hard. I've had both reactions, not least from my own complex and contradictory self. But I don't want to be one of those authors who beard bloggers in their dens, either. Stalking them through Google Alerts is quite paranoid enough, thank you. Oh, internet! Oh, humanity!

(Elsewhere, she linked to this cartoon about Mr & Mrs Shelley and their friend Lord Byron, which I thought was rather funny - not being a particular fan of either poet.)
