Bristol is the new Whitby

steepholmI quite enjoyed the first in the series of Being Human. It's about time the city of Casualty and Angela Carter (kind of) had its own werewolf/vampire/ghost house-share/hospital drama. My favourite sequence was of George the werewolf, running through the woods to find a lonely place to transform safely, and unable to find anywhere that wasn't already in use for sylvan lovemaking. We've all been there, I guess.
All the Bristol accents belonged to bit-part players, though. Clearly the world is not yet ready for someone with a lead role to speak like that.
ETA: I watched the rest of the series, and thoroughly recommend it. Haunting script, meaty plotlines, characters you can get your teeth into.
