Bristol is the new Whitby
Jan. 25th, 2009 10:51 pmI quite enjoyed the first in the series of Being Human. It's about time the city of Casualty and Angela Carter (kind of) had its own werewolf/vampire/ghost house-share/hospital drama. My favourite sequence was of George the werewolf, running through the woods to find a lonely place to transform safely, and unable to find anywhere that wasn't already in use for sylvan lovemaking. We've all been there, I guess.
All the Bristol accents belonged to bit-part players, though. Clearly the world is not yet ready for someone with a lead role to speak like that.
ETA: I watched the rest of the series, and thoroughly recommend it. Haunting script, meaty plotlines, characters you can get your teeth into.

Pity. I was imagining the leads as Evil, Idle, and Normal.
