Two days in advance of Coming Out Day, this person bravely decided to come out as an idiot. Sorry, [livejournal.com profile] fjm, [livejournal.com profile] altariel, [livejournal.com profile] papersky, et al: it turns out that putting "female" and "SF" in the same sentence is liable to tear a hole in the space-time continuum that you could drive a double decker through. (Oh wait, David Tennant's already done that.)

It must be a tricky and puzzling world for this individual.

Good lord. He is not from our planet and his logic is troll logic, not our earth-logic.

But then, I'm female and I do things, so I must be all wrong.

Assuming just for two seconds and the sake of argument that he's right about TV SF having changed its nature to gain more viewers, isn't that what TV, or any other form of entertainment, generally does? What does he want it to do, chase minority audiences and lose revenue? He doesn't sound like someone who usually sympathises with minorities!

Part of me wants to think it's just trollery...

Part of me wants to give it to all my friends, but am of two minds, because I don't want to give it any traffic ...

Eh. I may have to blog it.

Waitaminute ... you found someone who thinks the original BSG is better than the rebooted BSG, and not even because of the latter's lame ending?

Amazing.

John Scalzi rants in response. Scalzi is ... very American. But amusing.
