I took this picture of Gloucester Old Spot piglets a few weeks ago, at St Werburgh's City Farm (a ten-minute walk from here), and forgot that it was on my phone till yesterday. So adorable! But which is the adorablest?

OMG SOMEONE STOLE THEIR SPOTS!

ahem.

I think the one with its arm round its sibling is the adorablest.

The one cuddling its headless sib, I think.

Incidentally, I have discovered that if one's right hand slips a key to the left, "& Sons" turns into "& Sibs", which I rather like.

OMG SOMEONE STOLE THEIR SPOTS!

As with dalmatian puppies, so with piglets, I guess.

It sounds potentially incestuous, but interesting nonetheless!

Btw, Gair, did you know that you can get the picture in your "Male Identified" userpic in cufflink form? I saw them at the Little Kitty shop in Bath, yesterday, and almost got them for you but then remembered the church mousiness of my bank balance, and meanly refrained. But I thought you ought to know!

Those are darling! I wonder if they are as fun to play with as puppies.

I had actually seen those! But I am so enamoured of cufflinks being used for slashy couples (I have Kirk/Spock cufflinks) that I never feel drawn to ones that have the same picture twice, so all for the best that you refrained from buying them (but thanks for thinking of it - I am touched!)

In conclusion: PIGLITS!!!!!1!!

:-) I really would like to play with piglets. They are so sweet, and can be very smart. I watched a TV show at the gym on piglets and how they are raised, and have to say, I'm moving more and more towards looking for smaller farms in the area for meat. They aren't treated nearly as badly as veal calves, but pigs are so much smarter that they stress over being weaned and separated too early. I don't mind being an omnivore, but I am willing to eat a lot less meat if it means only eating critters that had happy childhoods...

OMG it's BABE!

The smiley one with its arm across its sibling is the cutest. Anthropomorphism, moi?

S/he does seem to be the people's favourite. I also like the one on the far right, who's dropped from the teat like a windfall plum, and is dreaming of acorns.
