Napalm in the Morning
May. 24th, 2011 11:09 pmSo, Harold Camping tells us the end of the world is still on for October 21st - and, indeed, that the Apocalypse began on cue at the weekend, but in a rather subtler form than expected, one that can't be detected with the human eye.
I'm not so sure about that last bit. Surely the signs are there to be read, even now? Does it not speak in Revelation Chapter 8 of the fall of a great star? At first, of course, I interpreted this as Ryan Giggs - but then I considered more deeply: "And the name of the star is called Wormwood: and the third part of the waters became wormwood; and many men died of the waters, because they were made bitter."
Right on cue, the Danes have banned Marmite.
