Raga Time

The nice people at The Philosopher's Arms sent me a CD of the programme I took part in. It works fine, but for some reason the filename is "Raga Puriya Kalyan - Gat-Vilambit & Drut Teentaal", which turns out to be this raga.

What does this tell us about the BBC? a) That their editorial meetings in Salford take place to the sound of Indian classical music; and b) that they are thrifty with my licence fee, and reuse CDs.

Both these I consider Good Things.

It's every bit a complex as classical pibroch.
