A casual backsliding more than any positive aversion. I was "born" a Quaker, and I've always felt more at home with their creedless, liturgy-free form of worship than with any other - to say nothing of their practical attitude to doing good and their generally non-judgemental way with their fellow human beings. But I've long been agnostic, and although I still occasionally attend Frenchay Meeting, and always feel better for it, I didn't feel I was committed enough to keep my name on the official list. How much difference this makes, either to them, me or the Almighty, I wouldn't like to say, though I suspect not a lot.

(If this is a question you are comfortable answering on Livejournal: why are you not officially a Quaker anymore?)
